I hate photos without names but I understand it is not always easy if you do not know
the names of everyone (in order), so be it but please try. And remember, no photo is
published without a full story to go with it.
There is no criticism whatsoever of the photographers of the above photos. We are
often stuck with backgrounds we cannot change. The top left is a Carpet Bowls photo
at Gunton Hall and I have struggled with exactly the same background myself. I now
use a pale green Superking bed sheet I bought in a sale and I use clamps to hold it in
place. You still see the wrinkles in the sheet but not the background you see here.
It can take ages to amend some photos and I cancel and re-do a photo a number
of times until I get a reasonable result, so please think about the background as you
take your photos, looking for who or what is behind your subjects, without signs etc.
