                               Kewstoke Short Mat Bowling Club
Kewstoke Short Mat Bowling Club hosted the Woodspring End of Season League Triples Tourna-
ment. There were 10 teams competing in two groups of 5.
None of the teams won all their games but in group A Banwell tied with Mark Village on points,
both teams having won two games and one drawn game. However Banwell had a shot difference
of + 11 so went on to play in the Final against the winners from Group B.
This was the other team from Mark Village and they had the best score of the day winning
three of their four games and drawing one giving them 10 points and + 16 shots. The Final score
was Mark Village ‘B’ 11 shots and Banwell ’A’ 7 shots. It was a very enjoyable day with nearly all
the players enjoying a good lunch and plenty of tea and coffee was served during the day.

                                              SECONDHAND MATS
                                              SECONDHAND MATS
I am looking for some DECENT and cheap second-hand Short
Mats to help the Norwegians develop their sport. I will pay for the
carpets and donate them to the Norwegians and they will pay the
shipping, so between us all we will help our sport grow. The more
people who play around the World, the better our sport will
be taken more seriously in the UK.
                                                    HOWEVER, I will also consider
donating to any new UK clubs just
starting up, remember they are sec-
                                              ond-hand mats. Nothing too expen-
sive please as the magazine funds only go so far but genuinely
reasonable carpets and I will try to pick them up.
I gained 6 Verde mats and I already had one old Wygreen, so in
total I am donating 7 Short Mats and 4 Carpet Bowls mats with some
“In all of Norway there are

Gunnar Frantzen I would add is the New Secretary of the World
Council, which shows the development of our sport beyond the UK. In the long term this will be
very important to how our sport is viewed. I hope to have even more mats available for Norway
            and elsewhere - JUST ASK!
