There were four groups of five teams playing
eight timed ends, nine for the final. The scoring
was 2 points for a win and 1 point per end won,
so winning ends was quite important.
Group A, Stonyhill A won the first group by
beating East Tilbury A, Ramsden Belhouse B,
Stonyhill B and Hatfield Peverel. East Tilbury A

A, Hollingbourne, Gulls A and Canvey Island. Ramsden Bellhouse A were runners up in the
group having beaten Canvey Island and Gulls A. Hollingbourne were third having beaten Canvey
Island and Ramsden Bellhouse. Gulls A were fourth despite beating Hollingbourne and Canvey
Island. It wasn’t Canvey Island’s day as they lost all their games.

guine, drawing with Ipswich and losing to Gulls. Ipswich were unlucky to miss runner up by one
point, having beaten Sanguine and drawn with Sanguine Jnr. Willow Park A had some close
games but only managed a draw with Sanguine, who also had one of those days.

Common B, Stonyhill A beat Sanguine Jnr and Tilbury A beat Gulls A. The semi-Final proved to
be a bit of an upset with Ramsden Bellhouse beating Stonyhill in a tight game and Willow Park
B pulling off a big win against Tilbury A. The Final was a good, close game with Ramsden Bell-
