Proverbs about British conservatism
The British people, who live in other countries, are
not fully typical for their nation. As a rule they live a
completely different life from the life in Britain.
However, we can talk about some general things.
The most popular quality of English character is
conservatism and restraint in words and emotions. The
British don't like displaying their emotions even in
dangerous and tragic situations, and ordinary people seem
to remain good-tempered and cheerful under difficulties.
They are reserved and self-controlled.
