SUNFLOWER She gave us water to drink
We polluted every water body
Stretching towards the sky, shining like a yellow pearl
I wish you could see me standing there She cried,
But I am a sunflower, a little funny She gave us shelter to live
If I were a rose maybe you would want me We exhausted every land to waste land
If I could have changed overnight
I would turn into something you like She cried,
But I am a sunflower, a little funny She gave us food to eat
If I were a rose, maybe you would pick me We destroyed the purity of every crop
But I know you don’t have a clue
The sunflower is waiting for you She cried,
I am without thorns She gave us air to breathe
Yet I have a fear of rejection We polluted her lungs ,the forest
I am, glorious like the sun
I am not adored and wanted like the rose, She cried,
But I know She gave us immense selfless love
A yellow is not a red We betrayed her again and again
And a red is not a yellow
I know it cannot be She cried.
I must not care at all She wiped and replied.
I love to say am a sunflower, bright and shiny
Even though I am not a rose , you can pick me. Nature turned wild,
She shook us with earthquakes
