(LCLCE). As set forth below, the LCLCE continues to promote and support

educational programming in support of the rule of law in a variety of ways.
HON. SCOTT J. CRICHTON
In June of 2019, the LCLCE had an active presence at the Louisiana State Bar
BRIAN ENGERON Association’s (LSBA) Annual Meeting in Destin. An evening reception, to which all

honor of the LCLCE board members. The LCLCE also hosted an exhibition booth.

In July, the LCLCE conducted the Justice Catherine D. Kimball Summer Institute

which provides professional development for teachers. This was a two-day program

teachers and includes housing, meals and law-related educational materials for the

Abigail Roberts, a senior at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, was presented

the 2019 Civics in Action Award by Louisiana Supreme Court Associate Justice Scott

exemplifies what it means to be an engaged citizen.

As of July 31, 2019, the LCLCE checking account balance was $235,800.26.

Funds to assist with operational expenses were received from the Louisiana State Bar
PATRICK A. TALLEY, JR. Association, and private contributions received through the LSBA dues check-off
option.
