                 W. THOMAS ANGERS     The LCLCE is pleased to provide you and the LSBA Board of Governors with a

               LAWRENCE J. CENTOLA, III   report  on  the  activities  of  the  Louisiana  Center  for  Law  and  Civic  Education
                                      (LCLCE).  As  set  forth  below,  the  LCLCE  continues  to  promote  and  support

                                      educational programming in support of the rule of law in a variety of ways.

                HON. SCOTT J. CRICHTON
                                      In  June  of  2019,  the  LCLCE  had  an  active  presence  at  the  Louisiana  State  Bar
                  BRIAN ENGERON       Association’s (LSBA) Annual Meeting in Destin. An evening reception, to which all

                                      honor of the LCLCE board members. The LCLCE also hosted an exhibition booth.

                                      In July, the LCLCE conducted the Justice Catherine D. Kimball Summer Institute

                                      which provides professional development for teachers. This was a two-day program

                                      Abigail Roberts, a senior at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, was presented

                                      the 2019 Civics in Action Award by Louisiana Supreme Court Associate Justice Scott

                  RYAN M. MCCABE      J. Crichton. This annual award is given to a Louisiana student who has demonstrated

                                      exemplifies what it means to be an engaged citizen.

                                      As  of  July  31,  2019,  the  LCLCE  checking  account  balance  was  $235,800.26.

                                      Funds to assist with operational expenses were received from the Louisiana State Bar
                PATRICK A. TALLEY, JR.   Association, and private contributions received through the LSBA dues check-off
                                      option.
