Staff Sgt. Scotty Avis, 56th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Services captain, uses the roof turret to simulate a fire attack on an F-16 Fighting Falcon Aug. 7 on the flightline
narios twice a month to stay proficient.
Avis drives the P-19 fire truck to the exercise site on the flightline at Luke. Perez completes the bunker drill by putting on the proximity gear helmet. The helme
has a face shield, which protects the face by blocking excess heat.
