A great example is the Snickers and M&M Peanut Butter spreads which we have launched in B&M stores. Initial sales are so strong the customer has doubled the orders and we are well on our way to £200k sales!
    A great example of NPD is the exclusive deal with Iceland on Skittles Sour 3 pack. We sold 324.000 packs in 2 months, nearly a million units for consumers to enjoy and helped drive Iceland’s YOY performance by 48%.
   Other categories
Given the loss of some impulse and meal deal sales the team have been looking to increase opportunities with other customers and drive relevant NPD into new and existing customers.
Another example is within the specialist sports category. We have used the M&M brand to launch protein bars in July as people begin to look for post exercise protein. Orders in July have exceeded expectation driving sales to the highest period this year.
Our milk team have extended the non-dairy, vegan range and we have added a Mars version to the existing lines. This launched in 292 Asda’s last month. It will join the existing lines in 660 McColl’s stores from the end of September.
