Preparations

I wake up and wonder what to do with my day,

I realize there’s school until the end of May.

I see all the things I need to do,

This backpack to fill,

These sheets that are due,

There’s no time to kill.

This reading to complete,

These notes to take,

The test where we compete,

We cannot flake.

This project to present to our greatest extent.

All the things we need to get done before we can have fun.

Although it is for the best for we have all progressed,

In school we need so we can succeed,

For school shapes our souls to help us achieve our goals,
All these preparations for generations.

Everyday is a reminder to keep our binder

Prepared for life so there is no strife

And until we are old we must uphold

These responsibilities and have the capabilities

To be

Ready for the day and our next essay. 10
