Have me showing up at 7
The Softball Game
This water by my side
For the dehydration that claims my body
This catching gear protecting my body
From wild pitches for three innings
The third base area all by myself
During this last inning
As the time limit runs low
It’s my teammates turn
These cheers roar as she runs and scores
These pitches I’m timing are perfect
Then the sound of the contact
Ball to Bat
That ball soaring over the fence
This game that we win
Is one of my best
On to the next
Hoping we win once again
