Reno has come and gone. It was another well managed
show. Always great to see my rabbit family from across the
country. It would have been better if I hadn’t been under the
weather most of the week and pretty much stuck to the show
room or hotel room. I did start to feel better and was happy to
take a quick trip with Beth Bickel, Paul Bickel and Amanda
Marquardt to Lake Tahoe.
Congratulations to all of the winners. I hope you enjoy the
wonderful awards. The booth was wonderful. Thanks Doug,
Armando, Julie and anyone else who was involved. Beth and I
spent show day in the booth working the store, the youth raffle,
selling trio tickets, store items and working on the top ten
booklet. Our booth was so nice everyone thought it was the
ARBA booth. Beth and I were constantly telling people how to
find the ARBA booth.
We had a well-attended general membership meeting with
many things discussed. Doug and Jeremy expanded on the
board’s giving back to the membership plans. This idea gave
people the wonderful awards and half priced banquet tickets.
The banquet was a full house with good food and time with
our rabbit family and a spirited banquet auction.
As I write this I am in the sunny state of Florida for the
winter again. When we leave in April we will turn west and head
to Mini Rex Nationals in Belton, TX. It looks to be another well
run show by the TX club.
I hope to visit with some rabbit friends at a Florida rabbit
show or two. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy
New Year. May your nest boxes be full with beautiful Mini Rex.
