Develop your trading skills with “Paper Trading” which allows you to
practice without the pressure of competing against others. If you
cannot be profitable “Paper Trading” then you most likely will not be
profitable trading with real money!
It is often said that “Paper Trading” is not useful because you will not
“feel” the psychological emotions that are experienced when trading
with real money. While it is true you will not experience the same level
of emotional stress while “Paper Trading”, it is still a great way to
practice your trading. The psychological and emotional aspects can be
worked on later AFTER you have developed your trading skills. It is
first better to have your trading approach developed and THEN work
on developing your trading psychology.
Don’t be impatient with your “Paper Trading”. Allow yourself time to
develop your trading skills and approach. This is time very well spent,
so no short-cuts here.
