Awards and Prizes
Dechencholing is committed to the achievements of excellence by its students
in all spheres of wholesome education. Academic being one of the prime
concern to all the stakeholders the school in 2018 instituted number of awards
and prizesto boost the academic performance.
1. Minister’s Certificate of Honours: Awarded to students achieving an
aggregate of 80% or more in the home exams, signed by the honourable
Sherig Lyonpo, Ministry of Education.
2. Institute’s Certificate of Honours: Awarded to students achieving
an aggregate of 75% to 79.9%in the home examinations, signed by the
Principal of the School.
3. Merit certificates to the Subject Toppers: Awarded to students achieving
a minimum aggregate of 75%in each subject in the home examinations,
signed by the Principal of the School.

4. Certificate of Academic Excellence: Instituted in 2018 and awarded to
one academic topper each in all grades for home exams (Board Exams
excluded), signed by the honourable Dasho Thrompoen, Thimphu Thromde.

5. Teachers’ Award: Cash prize of Nu.8, 000/- sponsored by the teachers for
the Whole Bhutan topper of 10 and 12 in the board exams. However, cash
