strategies to accommodate different learning abilities of learners. Learners do not all learn

in the same place and at the same time. I need to plan my time as I teacher, have a time

plan for all the teaching phase which is the introduction phase, interactive phase and the
summary phase. I have to plan learning experiences that will both challenge and allow

every learners to think and grow.

I believe good effective teaching and learning involves social setting which will allow

learners to interact together and learn from each other. I will try in most cases as a teacher

set up lessons that will promote social interactions, collaboration and cooperation. This I
will do through means of group work and peer assessments. As such a teacher must

have good content knowledge in order to know how to cater to the needs of learners and
incorporate their prior knowledge into the lesson. I use my knowledge of the mathematics

to present to learners modes of critical thinking, encouraging them to analyze, apply,
synthesize and evaluate all the information they read and hear. I love the subjects I teach,

and I know how to make them come alive for my learners.

2.2.4. The challenges that I foresee as a teacher is attempting to get the learners to
understand the formulas and manage to help them memorize them or even know them

off by heart, there are a lot of formulas for one to know in a short space of time. It is
important that learners can have an understanding of them in order for them to be able to

solve the problems but if they simply memorize them they will not know where to use

them even if they will be given the formulas with functions. The opportunities would be
making learners understand that once they understand which formulas to use they can

              easily get themselves good marks.

No because the CAPS document stated that the derivation of the formula is examinable

and that was not examined. The document also examined quadratic equations which was

a topic which was covered in grade 11.
