KSLLC – RFP QUESTIONNAIRE – HELP TEXT



               800. ON SITE Maintenance for NEW equipment on this RFP
                       Basic Maintenance of Eligible Broadband Internal Connections Use this service for
                       On Site Maintenance for New Equipment requested on this RFP.
                       Bidders are to provide monthly cost to maintain each item.


                       E-rate support is available for basic maintenance and technical support appropriate to
                       maintain reliable operation when provided for eligible broadband internal connections.

                       The following basic maintenance services are eligible:

                          •   Repair and upkeep of eligible hardware
                          •   Wire and cable maintenance
                          •   Configuration changes
                          •   Basic technical support including online and telephone based technical support
                          •   Software upgrades and patches including bug fixes and security patches


               801. Basic Maintenance for EXISTING  equipment

                       E-Rate will provide discounts on BASIC maintenance for your E-Rate eligible WI-FI
                       equipment (cache servers, wireless access points, wireless controllers, cabling, routers,
                       hubs, switches). The maintenance cannot be provided by an employee of the
                       school/library. The agreement included in your E-Rate application must list the
                       make/model number, description and quantity of each item you want basic maintenance
                       services for.
                       Funding is limited to applicant's Category Two budget allotment.





                       Edit your list of equipment by going back to your main menu in erate470, select
                       Equipment Maintenance and view/edit/add/change your equipment.
                       You may also provide your KSLLC account manager with a completed Excel
                       spreadsheet, List of Equipment for Maintenance, with the list of your Wi-Fi equipment
                       for maintenance.


               906. Contact Form

                       The alternate contact on the Form 470 will receive emails from potential bidders along
                       with marketing emails. The alternate contact on the Form 470 may also serve in the role
                       as authorized person for Erate invoice reviews later in the year. KSLLC can serve as your
                       alternate contact.

                       The contact information for your RFP is the main contact person at your school or library
                       for specific questions regarding your E-Rate requests for next year. You must specify the
                       person at your school or library who can serve in this capacity.
