Despite how chaotic and uncertain and even dangerous our pandemic world has become,
there are plenty of things that I can control. Upon finally understanding that, I also realized
something about optimism. Optimism is like an art form, in the sense that sometimes it takes
creativity and thinking outside the box to see a silver lining in a storm. That moment in the car
outside my job is when I was able to identify it. The next day, I resolved to embark on this
transformative journey, beginning at the same time of the morning I would before COVID-19
struck.
