Ahafo employee named in 2018 Top 100 Inspirational Women in Mining

Gloria Alorchie-Apetor, a Senior Maintenance Plan-
ner at the Ahafo Process Department was named
among this year’s Top 100 Inspirational Women in
Mining .She together with five other Newmont fe-
males made it to the exclusive list out of a field of
642 nominations.

Women in Mining (WIM) is a non-profit organization
dedicated to promoting the employment, retension
and advancement of women in the mining indsutry.
WIM celebrates and shares female success stories
with its “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining”
publications for their contributions to the industry
and inspiring other women to consider careers in
mining.

This is the second time in three years that we have
had employees from the Region make it to the list of
inspirational Women in Mining. Our Vice-President,
Sustainability and External Relaions, Adiki Ayitevie,
was on the honours list in 2015.

This is a proud achievement for the Region and a

testament to our diversity and inclusion agenda. Congratulations to Gloria once again!
