Frequently Asked Questions/Responses

               Question:  I have never done PT before, what should I expect for the first visit?

               Response:  Your initial PT appointment will be one hour long and will include an evaluation,
               baseline testing/measurements.  Discussion of goals and expectations for all involved to include
               patient, referring physicians and DPT..  “Familiarizing the patient with R2P”

               Question:  I am not an athlete or this isn’t a sports injury, will you still be able to see me?

               Response:  R2P is for everyone, not just athletes! Our goal is to get each and every patient to
               achieve their maximum potential and functionality in life and meeting individual goals.

               Question:  Do I have to have a referral or script from my doctor?

               Response:  Referrals are not required unless your insurance requires one.  R2P will verify
               insurance and let you know if a referral is necessary prior to your first visit.

               Question:  I have a ___________injury, which Dr. specializes in treating this?  Or some may
               ask about clinicians who work with specific populations such as runners, etc.

               Response:  The majority of our DPT’s work with the majority of our patients.  May refer to a
               specific PT that you know might be a better fit per the condition.  For very specific questions a
               message may be taken for PT to return call with appropriate information.

                Question:  What is dry needling?

                Response:
                          ○  It is trigger point release therapy
                          ○  Muscles refer pain just like nerves do.
                          ○  Similar to acupuncture but it goes deeper (into the muscle not just the skin).
                          ○  It is covered by insurance in most cases. (It is not covered for Medicare, so it is a
                              $25 additional charge).

               Question:  What can I expect to pay per visit of treatment?  If they have a deductible or
               coinsurance- average cost per appointment?

               Response:  Self pay rate is quoted and state that we accept insurance who usually have
               contacted lower rates.  Self pay rate is good measurement tool for the patient .  If have a
               deductible important to state the fee we collect per insurance.  Always happy to verify and call
               back with info.

               Question:  Medicare patients - how much will appointment cost?  Often do not have an idea of
               their cap?
