ANGELS IN THE COMMUNITY
The Angels are proud to support many local charitable organizations and
community groups throughout Orange County and the Greater Los Angeles
region. Through the combined efforts of the Angels and the Angels Baseball
Foundation, established in 2004 under Arte Moreno, the organizations
have created an aggressive and far-reaching approach, one intended to
have a profound, life-changing impact on thousands of people, specifically
children, in our community. Among the Angels’ notable beneficiaries are the
Angels RBI Program, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Orange County, Orangewood
Children’s Foundation, the AVID Program and Southern California Little
Leagues. The Angels have touched more than 5,000 organizations, answering needs for everything
from memorabilia donations, to monetary grants, to the distribution of game tickets, allowing
children to experience the remarkable game of baseball during each regular season.
ANGELS BASEBALL FOUNDATION:
Since its inception in 2004, the Angels Baseball Foundation has granted more than $6 million
towards local causes. The Foundation focuses on initiatives aimed at creating and improving
education, healthcare, arts and sciences, as well as community related youth programs throughout
the region. under the halo
Angels Baseball Foundation Gala
In 2018, the Angels hosted the second Angels Baseball Foundation Gala at Pelican Hill Golf Club
in Newport Coast. The Gala included a casino night and provided the opportunity to be joined by
a current player or Angels alumni for dinner. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to bid on
a variety of items including memorabilia and experiences during a silent auction as well as a live
auction. All proceeds from the Gala benefited the Foundation.
Angels 5K & Fun Run presented by Lexus
The 2019 baseball season will kick off with
the Foundation’s 5K & Fun Run. Over 5,000
Angels fans will hit the ground running in the
organization’s 9th annual race. Participants
earn a commemorative shirt and medal to
honor the occasion while also receiving the
opportunity to pick up goodies and resources
at the Health Expo. The 2018 event raised over
$160,000 for the Angels Baseball Foundation.
The ninth annual event will take place Apr.
20, 2019 before the Angels host the Seattle
Mariners.
