ANGELS IN THE COMMUNITY
             ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD:
             Adopt-A-School
In 2019, the Angels will select their 12th
class of adopted elementary schools for
the Adopt-A-School program. As a part of
             the Adopt-A-School program, each student
receives an Angels school supplies pack
and each school will be given an allotment
of tickets for the 2019 season to be used
in their incentive programs. The Angels
Baseball Foundation will also present each
elementary school with a $2,000 grant to
go toward the education program of their choice.
                                         Hospital Visits
Throughout the season, Angels players and their wives
visit CHOC Children’s to lift the spirits of the patients
and their families. The players and coaches make special
appearances to distribute Angels items, sign autographs
and visit with the children and their families.

                                         Strike Force Visits
The Angels Strike Force helps with Angels community
efforts by making special appearances to various events.
Some of these appearances include Angels RBI, Angels
Baseball Foundation events, Read Across America, library visits, hospital visits and Adopt-A-School
             assemblies.
             Back to School Clothing Drive
In September 2018, staff from the Angels, Wal-Mart
and the Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim distributed back-to-
school items to over 400 Club Kids from the Boys & Girls
Club of Anaheim, Santa Ana, Fullerton, Brea-Placentia, and
Westminster. Each child received socks, underwear, a pair
of pants, shirts and a pair of shoes as well as an Angels hat
             and tote bag.
             Angels RBI League
The Angels Baseball Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Orange County and Major League Baseball partner together
to create the Angels Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) League. This youth program,
offered to Orange County Boys & Girls Club members, provides an opportunity for
8-to-18-year-olds to play baseball and softball and learn important life skills. The Angels
RBI League concentrates on fundamentals and teamwork, while off the field stresses the
             importance of citizenship and academics.
Participants are provided with catcher’s gear, bats, balls and helmets. The RBI League
athletes also have an opportunity to attend a special Baseball and Softball Clinic in the
outfield of Angel Stadium. League members emphasize core skills in the areas of fielding,
batting, sliding and pitching with the assistance of Boys & Girls Club staff, local coaches and Angels players
             and coaches.
Angels Youth Clinics, Benefiting the Angels RBI League
The Angels annually host a Baseball Day Camp in the outfield at Angel Stadium. The goal is to teach not
only the proper fundamentals of the game of baseball and softball, but also the enjoyment that participating
             in the game can provide.
