PAID TIME OFF
Burlingame Industries recognizes that a good balance between work and life is important. That’s why as an eligible employee, you
are provided with annual paid time off to use for vacation or illness. You are also eligible for company-paid holidays each year.
Please refer to the Employee Handbook or contact the Human Resources Department for more information on the benefits listed
below.
Vacation
It is the Burlingame’s policy that active full-time employees take a paid vacation each year. Your length of the vacation will be
determined by your years of completed service and position within the Company. Vacations are earned on a weekly basis by full-
time active employees only and annualized on the anniversary date of the employee’s hire date. All requests for time off MUST be
approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor. Please refer to your Employee Handbook for details.
Paid Sick Time
California Employees:
Due to changes in California Legislation effective July 1, 2015 all employees who work in California are subject to the guidelines of
the new California Paid Sick Leave Law. Please refer to the new Burlingame Industries Paid Sick Leave Policy issued in July 2015, or
request a copy by calling Human Resources, at (909) 822-6000 extension 559, or extension 389.
Arizona Employees:
Due to recent changes to the Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act in the State of Arizona under Proposition 206, employees
working in Arizona are subject to the guidelines of the new Earned Paid Sick Time Law.
Please refer to the new Burlingame Industries Earned Paid Sick Time Policy, issued on July 1, 2017, or you may request a copy by
calling your local Human Resources office, at (602) 346 1713.
All Other Employees:
The company policy on Paid Sick Time remains unchanged.
Paid Holidays
Following the 90-day introductory period (3 months of continuous employment), full-time employees are eligible for paid holidays
as follows:
• New Years Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Day After Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve Day
• Christmas Day
