The only way I can think of to truly repay the endless support and understanding I have
received over the years is to pass on the lessons I have learned from my experiences. This

will enable me to turn all of my negative experiences of mis-treatment, violence and
abuse in to positive learning experiences. Perhaps I may be able to lend a hand, an ear or
simply a shoulder to someone else at the same time.

The reason I am sharing my story with you is that I am hoping that my experience and
insight may be of interest to you. I am writing this book on behalf of anyone who has ever

been abused or mistreated or simply suffers from low self-esteem. I honestly believe that
the reason I was given the harrowing experiences I endured was so that I might learn
enough from them to be able to help other people.

I accept, as well, that it is my responsibility to my children and my future grandchildren as
well as to every man woman and child in the world to help stop the cycle of abuse in any
way that I can. It is my wish that no other person ever suffers the pain that I quietly
endured for so many years.
