EYES INC—CCEP Yearly Report for 2019-2020 — Version 0.3 June 22, 2020
8.5 Goal 4: Increase capacity of current delivery system to provide culturally competent and appropriate access to substance abuse, mental health, and perinatal care treatment to those at- risk in the community using Unpaid Peer Mentors.
8.5.1 Objective 4.1: Utilize unpaid Peer Mentors to provide wraparound recovery support services to at-risk pregnant and postpartum women.
Outcome 4.1.1: 100% of CCEP participants (50 annually) will receive a combination of services: screening and assessment for SUD, COD, PTSD/previous trauma, and smoking; health education and risk-reduction session(s); MET session(s); and recovery support.
Of the seven women enrolled, all seven received IOP which, for one of the participants, was the only service they received. Five others (71.4%) of received two services, namely SS and TREM.
Outcome 4.1.2: At least 70% of project participants will engage in at least fifteen service contacts with the unpaid Peer Mentors during the time they are enrolled in the CCEP.
Starting in Year 2 and pending the successful recruitment of personnel to assist with the effort, service contacts with unpaid Peer Mentors will be tracked by date and tallied within RADICS. All participants who reach at least 15 service contacts will be flagged. Compliance to this outcome is calculated as the total number of women who engage in at least fifteen service contacts with unpaid Peer Mentors divided by the total number of participants enrolled in a given year and cumulatively.
Outcome 4.1.3: At least 60% of the CCEP population will be found to be in need of health insurance, and will be connected to Medicaid.
An attempt will be made to link all enrolled participants, as far as they meet qualifications, to Medicaid. Compliance to this outcome is calculated as the total number of women in the CCEP population who are successfully connected to Medicaid divided by the number of women who qualify for the Medicaid program. Of the seven participants who enrolled in CCEP during Year 1, all were deemed eligible for and enrolled with Medicaid. All of the participants’ children who were in the mothers’ custody during their time with CCEP were also enrolled in Medicaid.
