                                                                                              Wycombe  Abbey  School  was  founded  by  Dame  Frances  Dove  in  1896,  who  wanted  to
                                                                                              provide an educa�on for girls that for the first �me rivalled that experienced by their broth-
                                                                                              ers.

                                                                                              Over six hundred girls now call Wycombe Abbey home during term �me, aged from 11 to 18.
                                                                                              The school is house within the magnificent Abbey mansion, which was constructed by James
                                                                                              Wya� for the Carrington family in 1798, and set within 170 acres of park and woodland
                                                                                              designed by Capability Brown.


                                                                                              The school is a charitable trust with aims that have remained constant since its founda�on:
                                                                                              the pursuit of academic excellence, the development of each individual’s talents in crea�ve,
                                                                                              physical and social skills and the encouragement of service to God and to other people.
