Lovelace Odoi is a Compliance Analyst at J.P. Morgan
with a depth of experience in policy management and
firmwide training. Prior to joining the firm Lovelace
studied Law at Warwick University, during which she
carried out legal research in the University of Sao Pau-
lo, Brazil. At J.P. Morgan, Lovelace is an active member
of the Black Organisation for Leadership and Develop-
ment, which provides her with an excellent platform to
organise annual networking events for Summer Interns
of African & Caribbean descent. Alongside work, Love-
Lovelace Odoi lace has completed a diploma with the Chartered In-
stitute for Securities and Investment and is a newly ap-
Compliance Analyst pointed governor for a local primary school in Newham.
Mbeke is an international Education Consultant, Coach, Pub-
lic Speakerand Writer. She has lived and worked in Jamaica,
Ghana, the UK, and Malaysia. She has as a worked as a vol-
unteer in Cameroun and as a mentor in Ghana and the UK.
Mbeke’s most recent work was featured in This is Us, Black
British and Female (2019) and Trusted Black Girl. Challenging
Perceptions and Maximising the Potential of Black Women
in the UK Workplace edited by Roianne Nedd (2018). Her
body of work includes a series of articles and interviews on
health and business which first appeared in the UK publica-
tion African business and culture. Her short stories have ap-
peared in Fifth Estate, Dovetails, Pure Slush, The Writers café, Mbeke Waseme
with essays, and academic articles in Pambazuka and 72M.. Education Consultant
Following some 20 years in investment banking and
financial communications, Patricia now helps social
enterprises attract private capital and advises compa-
nies on their responsible investment strategies. She
is a Senior Advisor with The Good Economy social val-
ue consultancy, an Associate Director of The Finance
Foundation, a Trustee of The Student Voice, Chair of
Black Cultural Archives’ Development Board, co-Chair
of the World Council of International House. She is
also a member of the BVCA’s Responsible Investment
Advisory Committee, Women in Social Finance, Cen-
Patricia Hamzahee tre for the Study of Financial Innovation and the Eco-
Founder and Director nomic Research Council.
Paulette Simpson has responsibility for Corporate Af-
fairs for The Jamaica National Group in the United
Kingdom (UK) In this role, she seeks to initiate, man-
age and deliver strategies to enhance the organisa-
tion’s corporate reputation, brand, relationship with
members and the wider community in the UK. She
has been instrumental in spearheading the hosting
of numerous JN events. She also provides strategic
management support for The Voice, which has been
Britain’s leading Black newspaper for the last 35 years,
seeking to reposition the newspaper to achieve greater Paulette Simpson
