Dear Future Self,

I hope when you read this, you have already found the true meaning of independence and
happiness. I hope you are surrounded by your loved ones that make you feel like the greatest. I
hope you graduated your dream university that you have been so invested in for the past ten
years. I can only hope, for I will never be able to tell what the mysteries of fate hold for me.
I hope your friends are enjoying life just as much as you. I hope the friends you have now are
my current ones. I'm surprised to see who stayed and who left, what changed and what stayed
the same in my ever so rollercoaster-like life. I hope you went on the trip you have been so
excitedly planning for years with the company of your best friends. I hope you still remember to
appreciate the small things in life such as the bite of the famous red velvet cake your bestfriend
makes you or the pretty pink flowers people gift you.

I hope you still remember all the good times you had with them. I hope you lived life and grew
up with them by your side and I hope you laughed but also cried alongside them. I hope a single
tear drop fell from your eyes when they graduated before your very sight. I hope you had
enough courage to walk up to them and give the warmest hug with the kindest remarks.
I hope you are in contact with your family. I hope you are taking care of them this very second. I
hope you are on good terms with your sisters that brought you back up every time you fell. I
hope you learned to express your emotions. I hope you said the words “I love you” for the first
time to your family by now. I hope your father gave you away on your wedding day while your
mother shed a tear.I hope your husband held your hand when you gave birth.

I hope you foundnthe right one

I hope you found someone, someone who you trust, someone who showed you the true
meaning of love. I hope he is your best friend, I hope he is your family, I hope he is your
protector. Take care of him, love him, love him for who he is.Tell him you miss him, tell him he is
worth spending the rest of your life with him. Make him feel emotions no other was able to give
him. Pay attention to his mental, physical and emotional health. Treat him like he is your other
half, because he is.

I hope you got hurt during the process of finding someone. I hope someone broke your heart
into a million pieces. I hope you found yourself when he did. I hope he taught you lessons no
one else was able to. I hope you now understand that not all perfections are meant to last. Like
a beautiful fragile vase, you need someone that will catch you before you hit the ground and
shatter. Although he broke your heart I hope you found indepence and forgiveness within you. I
hope you are happy with the choices you have made and I hope you are proud of the seventeen
year old teenager you once were.
