Can happiness be bought?
Have you ever heard of phrases like “Money can’t buy happiness”? do you agree with this quote or disagree
with an idea? Actually, whatever you choose is not the wrong answer because this idea is similar to a bioethics
problem that society can’t agree about is wrong or not wrong like a “does execution is right or wrong?” so don’t
concern too much about your choice.
Before talking about “can money buy happiness or not?” we should understand what is happiness. In most
situations, happiness is used as satisfaction in life or feeling positive emotions but people tend to believe that it
comes from within, not from things that can be bought easily. They often talk about not rich people with a happy
family as an example to deny the idea of “money can’t buy happiness”, however, human beings feel something
similar to happiness when they are living the life they wanted and in the previous example, they feel happy because
they are living a life which they wanted but there can be someone wanted to live free without any limit in financial
side and feel joy from items he or she brought. So, Happiness is some kind of satisfaction and different for everyone
that is why it is so hard to define it.
As I said before happiness is feeling and it is impossible and at the same time possible to buy it using money
because we can’t buy feeling directly but we can buy something which can satisfy us. So, money can’t buy it
directly but it is essential for happiness. Without any money, we can’t be happy or it won’t last long when we don’t
have anything to eat or a place to sleep that is why money is essential for long lasting happiness and it doesn’t need
to be a lot of money but it should be enough to keep your happiness safe.
To conclude, we feel happiness from satisfaction in life in other words from feelings and we can’t buy it
directly by using money however money is something like a foundation of your long-lasting happiness which is
necessary and it was just my opinion and feel so don’t take it too seriously and I hope it was helpful.
