Minority & Small Business Procurement Bootcamp
The Capital City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share its work through the
Minority & Small Business Procurement Bootcamp, which was an all-day, in-person
workshop catered towards minority and small businesses in the local community.
Attending entrepreneurs were provided information and resources regarding the
contracting process and networking opportunities.
Black Business Month Breakfast
August marks the annual recognition and celebration of Black Business Month across the United States. Here
in Tallahassee, the Chamber commemorated and promoted entrepreneurship in the Black community by
providing a series of trainings, small business panels, and resources, while also highlighting the inspirational
success stories of African American small business owners in the Tallahassee community and state of Florida.
Black Business Expo
The Black Business Expo is an annual event created by Mega Ace Media to promote
networking, connections, and growth for Black entrepreneurs throughout Tallahassee.
This year the Capital City Chamber of Commerce participated alongside local small
businesses promoting its various workshops and events catered toward the small
business community. Grant awards in 2023 totaled $16,500.
Summer Backyard Bucket List
Visit Tallahassee’s expanded partnership with Tallahassee Foodies and the Capital City
Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual ‘Summer Backyard Bucket List’ challenge.
The sucessful three-month campaign generated more than 500 entries and promoted
more than 100 local businesess.
