            INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Jim-
            mie Johnson made one
            thing perfectly clear when
he walked out of the India-
            napolis Motor Speedway’s
            infield medical center.
He might be out of the
            playoffs but his season is
            not over.
            “I think everybody can
            see the performance is on
            its way up,” Johnson said
            Sunday after a late crash
ended his last-ditch hope Jaguars lose Foles indefinitely,
            of making the 16-car field.
“Just keep drilling that and lose home opener to Chiefs
            trying to get ourselves high-
er in points and then also Kansas City Chiefs’ Armani Watts, top, leaps high over
            back to victory lane.”
It certainly would be a Jacksonville Jaguars’ Andrew Wingard (42) to grab an onside
start. Of course, Johnson kick during the second half of an NFL football game, Sunday,
can always use more time Sept. 8, 2019, in Jacksonville, Fla.

second crew chief of the Associated Press
