PLAY

The Braves are committed to growing the game in all
of Braves Country and sharing with the community
one of the skills we know best – baseball. Our dedica-
tion, enthusiasm, and respect for the game are visible
on and off the field. Through the pillar of PLAY, we
aim to introduce the game, teach the game, play the
game, support the growth of the game, and celebrate
the game.
INTRODUCE THE GAME
The Braves want every young person to experience
our game in a fun and easy way. Through programs
like FUN AT BAT, PLAY BALL events, whiffle ball, and
stickball, the Braves offer many opportunities for youth
to engage with our game. Our goal through these
initiatives is to entice youth to sign up for a league and
begin to grow in the sport.
TEACH THE GAME
The focus is on teaching baseball techniques correctly
while also empowering coaches to do the same. The
Braves strive to raise the standard of the youth base-
ball/softball experience by offering clinics and work-
shops for parents, umpires, and field maintenance staff.
PLAY THE GAME
Creating opportunities through inner-city, league-
based programs is a focus for the Braves. Junior
Braves & Braves RBI create an environment where
youth play our game in a safe, fun and affordable
way. Additionally, experience-driven tournaments
like the Braves Country Battles and Braves Country
Championships offer youth teams from across the
Southeast a chance to play at a competitive level.
SUPPORT THE GAME
As the cost of playing baseball and softball has
increased, the Braves remain devoted to supporting
the game for leagues, teams, and coaches who need
support or guidance. Through donations and fund-
raising packages, equipment drives, grant guidance,
league event support and partnerships, the Braves
serve as a resource for programs in the Southeast.
CELEBRATE THE GAME

The Braves celebrate everything within the sport
of baseball: great coaches, positive athletes, amaz-
ing plays, all-star youth, and championship teams.
Through partnerships with youth and high school
associations, non-profit organizations and other base-
ball supporters, we will celebrate deserving individuals
throughout Braves Country.
