The Braves aspire to empower, educate, mentor and encourage youth to stay engaged in the classroom
and celebrate educators for their continued dedication to all students throughout Braves Country. Through
the pillar of LEARN, we aim to teach the game of baseball through literacy and math/science initiatives,
cultivate future leaders, and expose students to career opportunities in baseball.
ATLANTA BRAVES SCIENCE OF BASEBALL

Atlanta Braves and Xfinity are committed to engaging students in STEM through a fun and interactive
educational curriculum. The Braves Science of Baseball program engages middle school students in how
the sport of baseball uses math, science, and technology concepts. During the program, students learn how
angles, velocity, and spin impact home runs, the geometry of a baseball field, and the statistical analysis
of baseball records.

MOST VALUABLE teachers

The Atlanta Braves celebrate educators throughout Braves Country who are making a difference in their
classrooms and in their communities with Most Valuable Teacher grants for their individual classroom projects
and needs.
