Inmate Transportation
Inmate extradition decreased nearly 10% in 2019. The
majority of extraditions were to Massachusetts & New
Hampshire. Other states included Colorado, Florida,
Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania,
Rhode Island, Virginia, and Texas.

464,188 meals were served to Food Services
inmates and staff in 2019.This averages 1,271
meals per day.
Average cost per meal for 2019 was ap-
proximately $1.44/meal, a decrease of $0.11
compared to the prior year. On average, 45
special diet meals (includes medical ordered,
religious beliefs, and personal choice diet) are
prepared each meal.
Chaplain Services
Reverend Jeffrey McIlwain provides spiritual support to all denominations
and is available for both inmates and staff. He is a critical liaison between
the Sheriff’s Office and the community, providing relevant insight on topics
of concern in our communities.
Reverend McIlwain works with 70 Religious Volunteers that provide 9,240
hours per year of religious services to the jail and the inmates.
