HOW HAS TECHNOLOGY CHANGED EDUCATION?
Blog 2
In a word, Yes. Let me say that again, Technology has changed education! I add and
exclamation point for emphasis. Schools today, from preschool to graduate school are
overwhelmed with technology in every aspect of education. We have access to all types of
technology in our schools, heck even our every days lives. Think about it. Can you think of one
person that can go a whole day and not look at the smart phone, or any device, at least once. We
are so in the technology tornado that we have so much technology that we don’t know how to
use most of it. But, has it helped.
In medieval times, a teacher is in the midst of a lecture, she looks around the class and
notices that a few are reading books, others are listening, talking to their neighbors and a few are
sleeping. Not unlike today, but the scene has changed. Instead of books we see theme looking at
their laptop, tablet or smartphone. Comparing the scenes, one could say technology has done
