this. And in doing so, many school districts miss out on very qualified individuals.

information that was passed onto me from higher ups in the district and wanted to remain

I work for the public school system and have been with them for 2 years. I am educated
with a college degree. I am trying to improve myself. I recently applied for a computer teaching
position. I am not certified and I did not take the praxis. However, I am the most qualified person
for this teaching position. Why do schools care so much about certifications?

I do agree with you that many schools miss out on very good teachers due to the rules
that they have to follow. The Praxis is used to measure skills and knowledge. The problem with
the praxis is that it doesn’t measure interpersonal skills. And we have way too many teachers that
have zero interpersonal skills. Most all schools, public and private, are required to have certified
teachers teaching in schools. Passing a standardized test is a basic requirement for teacher
certification in almost all states. These tests attempt to measure an aspiring teacher’s knowledge
and skills, and are used by most public schools in the United States to ensure that educators are
qualified to teach. But how can a test determine if you can teach. There is zero way a test can
