THE INTERVIEW

There are many keys to a good interview .
                 1. Be prepared . Set aside a table in a quiet part of your location away from guests . Have your tools handy .
                 2. Inform . Let the candidate know that you need 20 minutes of time for his/her interview . Tell the candidate that
you will be taking notes .

                 3. Body Language . Be open, have a smile ready .
                 4. Offer a drink or a soda to your candidate . Remember, the candidate is interviewing us too . Be hospitable!
                 5. Be clear about next steps . Is there a stage? Inform them . Are you passing? Inform them .
If you pass, please be polite and gracious .
“Thank you for your interest in FRC. I will share our conversation with my team. If we can make a match, I will be
back in touch with you by (xxx day).

                 STAGE

Once you get this far, it only makes sense that you complete the process the right way by considering other important
elements . The interview is only part of the puzzle .
For hourly candidates, the selection process may include a “stage” .
                 What is a Stage?

A stage is a working interview . Staging is an activity used to assess the practical skills of a job candidate . It should
not last any longer than 60 minutes . During the “stage” the hiring manager assesses the candidate’s professional skills
and adaptive abilities in a restaurant environment . None of the activities provide a benefit to the restaurant . It simply
provides the hiring manager an opportunity to review the candidates’ qualifications and an ability to determine their
                 suitability for the position .
All candidates being asked to perform a stage must be informed that they are not entitled to wages for time spent
                 demonstrating their skills .
