Owing to the Unique Indian conditions-
extensive use of water in toilets, longer journeys,
customer habits, the deployed Bio-Toilet
technology underwent progressive evolvement.

imported from US- Microphor were
fitted on trials.
Indian railways entered into an
MoU with DRDO, to develop &
utilise bio-toilet tech developed by DRDO for
high alt waste degradation for defence forces.
