Quantitative Data Analysis
                                              Simply Explained Using SPSS

Confidence interval: A range of numbers inferred from the sample
that has a certain probability or chance of including the population
               parameter

Continuous (Scale): Variable is measurements on a proper scale
               such as age, height etc.

Control group: The group that does not receive the experimental
               treatment condition

Critical value: The value at which a decision rule triggers
               significance.

Dependent t-test: To test the significance difference between two
               dependent like pretest and post-test.

Dependent Variable: The variable of interest which could be
               influenced by independent variables.

Descriptive statistics: Statistics that focus on describing,
               summarizing, or explaining data

Experimental group: The group that receives the experimental
               treatment condition

Factor analysis: A statistical procedure to test the dimension of the
instrument and tells you the number of factors present.

Histogram: A graphic that shows the frequencies and shape that
               characterize a quantitative variable
