Legacy Week – Sunday 27 . August to Saturday 2 . September:

Legacy Week is the annual national appeal to raise awareness and funds for the families of our incapacitated and
deceased Service and ex service personnel. The funds raised from Legacy Week help Legacy continue to assist
approximately 70,000 widows and 1,900 children and people with disabilities Australia-wide, with essential services
such as, counselling, special housing, medical, advocacy and social support. Additionally, there are thousands of
Australian Defence Force personnel currently deployed overseas. Legacy stands ready to assist their families should
the worst happen.
Volunteers are required to collect at Walkerville during the Appeal week. Shifts are of 2 hours from 1000hrs to
1600hrs. Our sincere thanks again to Wing Commander Colin Coghill, WOFF Stewart Garth and all members of No 87
Squadron, RAAF Edinburgh their invaluable assistance, not only for Legacy week, but also for the ANZAC and
Remembrance Appeals.
