The hedgehog also has a predator called the badger
which is the animal with characteristic black and white
stripes on its head. As the local population of badgers
increases, the population of hedgehogs decrease.
Hedgehogs are very good at eating snails and slugs in
the garden and are always very welcome to forage for
these unwanted pests. However hedgehogs do not
make very good pets as they usually have a colony of
fleas hidden within their spikes.
