B Frank is the new vision coming out of Okmulgee, OK. Influenced by his stepfather who recorded music with other local talents back in the day, B Frank started recording songs at 12 years old.
Over the years he has gone from being an artist to obtaining a business mindset. He focuses a lot on the business factor of how to build his brand. By studying such icons as Master P, Jay-Z and Diddy, he has a vision of where he wants to take his talent. “I always wanted to have my own thing, my own brand. I want to run my own label. I have also wanted to run my own record store.”
“This year is the first year I have really taken the mu- sic game serious. I realize now that it’s more than just making music.” This realization has brought B Frank to exploring the expansion of his talents by not just mak- ing good music for his community but also getting into creating his own shoe line. He wants to take everything to the next level not just for

himself but for Okmulgee and Oklahoma as a whole. His ultimate goal is to get the brand to flourish. To have a clothing and shoe line that competes with the top end brands out there. To make his brand a household name. He definitely wants to take Oklahoma to the top. “I feel like Oklahoma don’t have anybody to fully represent it as far as the mainstream industry.” He wants to change that perspective and put the O on the same level as the bigger markets like Atlanta and New York. “I just want to be one of the ones that actually make it in the industry and actu-
ally represent the state.”
One of the things that are very important is creating a
brand. “I want my own brand. I want to see it flourish. Just like Jay-Z and Dame Dash did with Roc-a-fella, or how Master P came with No Limit. It would be no dif- ferent.” The community is very important to B Frank. An essential part of his mission is to bring people up with him. “I don’t want to be just the only one poppin’. I want the whole team to flourish.
