•      Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) initiated


                    •   Nanjng Tech MoU with UNISA is still operational and the trip was to enhance the
                        collaboration since the activities had been disrupted by the covid season given that the
                        MoU was signed mid-2020.
                    •   Tiangong MoU with UNISA has gone for three years with a lot achieved e.g. students
                        exchange, hosting on joint symposia, joint supervision of PhD students, joint applications
                        for research grants, joint publications, to mention a few.  The renewal process of this MoU
                        is underway.
                    •   The MoUs involving Shandong University of Technology and Harbin Institute of Technology have
                       been accepted in principle by the College of Science Engineering and Technology (CSET Exco).
                       They are currently being submitted through Mancom enroute to LSO.
                   •   Nankai University and Zhejiang University of Technology have agreed to enter into an MoU with
                       UNISA. Both of these universities are highly ranked Universities with renowned strengths in Science
                       and Engineering.
                   •   MoU between UNISA and JAR Partners.

         •      Unisa Science campus hosts the NOUN delegation

                On the 16  of November 2022, a delegation from the National Open University Nigeria (NOUN) visited the
                Unisa  Science  Campus  with  aim  to  foster  collaborations  in  the  identied  areas  of  interest. The  NOUN
                delegation consisted of he delegation will consist of Prof. Chiedu Felix Maana-  Dean, School of Postgraduate
                Studies (Leader of Delegation), Prof. Olugbenga Ojo- Director, Examinations and Assessment, Dr Henrietta
                Kelle (Mrs)- Head, Department of Chemistry, Dr Senat Omuya (Mrs)- Ag. Director, Learner Support Services
                and Mr Victor Ologuntoye - Course Materials Development Unit.



                “If we are to call ourselves an African University shaping futures in the service of humanity, it is important that we
                partner with universities in Africa, not just the ones in European countries only”, said Prof Mamba, Executive
                Dean of CSET,  in his welcome address. Furthermore, Prof Mamba gave an overview presentation

                The meeting was attended by directors and chairs of department from both CEAS and CSET, and were
                each given a chance to present research activities and teaching approaches used in O-DEL environment
                within their respective spaces.
