FIRST LEGO League Explore Volunteer of the Year Award Goes to Dr Patricia Gouws from South Africa. The
FIRST LEGO League World Festival took place in Houston Texas, USA, in April 2022 where thousands of
students, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and STEM practitioners gathered from around the world. The teams
in attendance showcased their innovative projects, robots, and core values. The award was handed over to her
on 8 October 2022.

Professor Bhekie Mamba Joins the Editorial Board of Advanced Membranes and appointed as the
incoming Editor-in-Chief of the Nature partner journal called npj Clean Water
