Kagisho Mabitle obtains Higher Education Teaching
Certicate from Harvard University
Mr Kagisho Mabitle (Lecturer: Information Systems, School of
Computing) has successfully completed a Higher Education
Teaching Certicate from Harvard University with an overall
course total of 84%. The obtainment of this certicate
contributes immensely on the teaching prole of the department,
college, and institution at large. “My journey with Harvard
University certainly does not end here, as I begin studying towards
the Master of Liberal Arts (Management) degree from June
2023” said Mabitle.
Adapted from his teaching portfolio submitted to Harvard
University, this is what Kagisho Mabitle had to say: “My primary
goal as a teacher is to maximise my students' academic
performance. In doing so, I rstly ensure that a positive learning
environment is created and maintained in my classroom (be it
physical or virtual), through rapport-building and clear
expectations; an environment that is especially conductive to
teaching and learning.”
Many congratulations to Mr Kagisho Mabitle. May he continue to
raise the CSET and UNISA ags up high.
