         Unisa Engineering programmes recommended for ECSA accreditation
                In a process that started a year ago when the College of Science, Engineering and Technology's School of Engineering
                rst invited ECSA to evaluate their programmes, it was a sigh of relief from the school and college at large when a
                positive outcome was announced by the accreditation panel on 15 July 2022, stating that all seven Advanced Diplomas
                in engineering programmes have been recommended for accreditation until the next accreditation cycle (the cycle last
                for ve years). These include the following:


                Advanced Diploma: Chemical Engineering
         Ø      Advanced Diploma: Civil Engineering
         Ø      Advanced Diploma: Electrical Engineering: Power
         Ø      Advanced Diploma: Electrical Engineering: Telecoms
         Ø      Advanced Diploma: Industrial Engineering
         Ø      Advanced Diploma: Mechanical Engineering
         Ø      Advanced Diploma: Mining Engineering


















         Staff Excellence


         Prof Bilal Patel, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering presented with University
         Oldenburg Certicates of Advanced Studies in Online Teaching during the official opening ceremony of the 2022 Academic
         Year, 11 February 2022.

















         Prof Eno E. Ebenso and Prof Michael S. Scurrell recognised in the 2022 edition of World Top Scientists Rankings. Prof Ebenso
         ranked at number 1660 on the World Rankings and at number 4 on the National Rankings under the Chemistry discipline,
         while Prof Scrurrel ranked at number 12139 on the World Rankings and at number 19 on the National Rankings.
