ONGC bags top honors at the India Today Group's PSU awards
The country's upstream oil major ONGC bagged the Most Valuable Company andMost Eco Friendly Company awards
in the Maharatna Category for its outstanding
performance at the India Today PSUs Awards
in New Delhi.
The awards were received by Mr. Shashi

categories at a glittering ceremony organized
for the awardees by the prestigious India

These are the second India Today Group's PSU awards and are a celebration of success stories, and recognition of the
contribution of these government-owned companies towards economic growth and social welfare of the nation. The
results, arrived after a rigorous process , also reflect their market performance. CMD, ONGC, Mr. D K Sarraf
complimented all the employees in making untiring efforts for taking the company onto the path of excellence.
SKOCH 'Order of Merit' award and SKOCH Smart Technology Award
2015 for REC CSR supported Project
The project "Reviving Crafts Heritage & Providing Sustainable Livelihood to the Artisans" supported under CSR initiatives
of Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), was conferred the prestigious 'Skoch Order-of-Merit Award' and the
'Skoch Award, 2015' during the 42nd Skoch Summit on Smart Technology held in New Delhi on 10th and 11th December
2015. The awards were handed over by Shri Sameer Kochhar, Chairman, Skoch Group, to Shri CP Bhatia, General Manager
(CSR), REC, Ms. Taruna Gupta, Add'l General Manager (CSR), REC, Shri K.L. Dhingra, CEO, National Culture Fund, and
Ms. Lalita Krishnaswamy, President, Gujrat State Women's Sewa Cooperative Federation.
The REC CSR supported project is being implemented in Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Kutchh, Patan and Surendranagar districts
of Gujarat by the Gujrat State Women's Sewa Cooperative Federation, under supervision of the National Culture Fund,
Ministry of Culture, Government of India, with the objectives of reviving crafts heritage and providing sustainable livelihood
to the artisans by providing skill upgradation trainings, market linkages and restoration of the heritage building housing
the skill development and marketing center, directly impacting over 1500 women artisans from economically weaker
sections of society in the region over the last three years. The components of the CSR supported project were also
showcased to the jury and the participants of the 'Skoch Summit' in an attractive booth set up on the premises.
REC Named the Fastest Growing Navratna PSU
REC was conferred with the "Fastest Growing Navratna" award at India Today PSUs awards ceremony. The award was
received by Shri Rajeev Sharma, CMD, REC from Shri Piyush Goyal, Honorable Minister of State with Independent Charge
for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Honorable Minister of Communications and
IT. REC's wholly owned subsidiary REC Transmission Projects Company Limited was also awarded the "Fastest Growing
PSU" in "Other PSUs" category. The award function witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries from several public
sector organisations.
