SBBJ donates to Charitable Trusts
SBBJ under its Corporate Social Responsibility
Initiative, donated an Ambulance to Nayayan
Sewa Sansthan, Udaipur and financial support
to Shri Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata
Samiti, Jaipur.
In a simple function the Chairman State Bank
Group, Smt. Arundhati Bhattacharya handed
over the keys and cheque to the representatives
of these organizations.
On the occasion Smt. Arundhati Bhattacharya
stated that during the year 2015-16, Bank has
donated Rs.6.10 Crore for different social
activities. Some of the noteworthy ones are
extended financial support for construction of
103 toilets for girl students across Government
schools including 93 toilets in schools located in Rajasthan, putting up drinking water facility in 104 government schools in
Jhalawar District, electrification work in 73 schools in Ajmer District, natural calamities affected people in Rajasthan, Nepal
and Chennai and Ambulances, School Bus etc.
Bank's Managing Director Shri Jyoti Ghosh stated that the Bank is committed to continue with more such social welfare activities
in current financial year as also in coming years. In the current year, the Bank has so far extended financial assistance of Rs.
One Crore to Rajasthan Mukhya Mantri Jal Swawlamban Abhiyaan as well as committed to focus on providing basic facilities
in educational institutions.
In the function, Smt. Bhattacharya also vindicated the magazine of SBBJ Ladies Club. The Chairperson of the Club Smt. Sumita
Ghosh and Mrs. Bharati Rout with her office bearers were presented at this occasion. At the end of the function, representatives
of the above organizations expressed their gratitudes and thanks for the financial assistance provided to them by the Bank.
Yoga for all at HUDCO
On the occasion of International Yoga Day,
Housing and Urban Development
Corporation (HUDCO), organized a week
long Yoga programmes for its employees,
in collaboration with ISHA Foundation .
The ISHA Foundation taught 'Upa Yoga' to
the participants, amidst many other yoga
exercises. Dr. M. Ravi Kanth, CMD, HUDCO
actively participated and explained on Yoga
Benefits.
More than 200 employees participated in
the weeklong sessions.
