Message
It is with great pride that we welcome you to the 20th edition of the International Conference on Inclusive Insurance (ICII
2024), which will take place from 21-25 October 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal. This significant milestone is a reflection of
our shared commitment to advancing inclusive insurance solutions for underserved communities worldwide.
Nepal, a country vulnerable to natural disasters and climatic risks, has recognized the crucial role that inclusive insurance
plays in enhancing the financial resilience of low-income households, vulnerable populations, and micro, small, and me-
dium enterprises (MSMEs). This conference offers a vital platform for over 400 global participants-including industry lead-
ers, regulatory bodies, NGOs, and development organizations-to collaborate and share insights on creating innovative
insurance solutions.
The agenda this year focuses on pivotal themes such as climate risk insurance, digital innovations in microinsurance, and
overcoming barriers to scaling inclusive insurance. These discussions are especially timely as we face an increasingly com-
plex global risk environment, from climate-related disasters to socio-economic disparities. By advancing these dialogues,
we aim to foster innovation, strengthen partnerships, and ultimately extend financial protection to the most vulnerable.
ICII 2024 will also highlight practical approaches and success stories through workshops, keynote addresses, and a field
visit showcasing Nepal's inclusive insurance initiatives. I encourage all participants to engage with the dynamic program
and contribute to meaningful discussions that will shape the future of inclusive insurance globally.
Together, let us work towards a future where insurance serves as a safety net for all, enabling financial inclusion and
resilience across communities.
