8.1.2.2 1 (One) shall be the Head: Consumer Assurance of SAPPO.

8.1.2.3 1 (One) shall be the chairperson of the Board,

all of the aforementioned who shall always be ex officio members of the

Committee.

8.1.3 The first members of the Committee shall be –

8.1.3.1 Johann Kotze;

8.1.3.2 Dr Peter Evans, and
8.1.3.3 Johan van der Walt

8.1.4 The Board shall delegate to the Committee the authority and powers of the
Board as are stipulated and as have been approved in the Delegation of
Authority Policy of SAPPO, attached hereto as Annexure “A”, as may be

amended from time to time (“Delegation”).
8.1.5 The Committee shall have the authority to make decisions and execute any

processes, in so far as it is empowered to do so by the Board as recorded in the
Delegation. On matters beyond the Committee’s authority, or to take Measures
or execute processes not stipulated in the Delegation, the Committee shall make

recommendations to the Board for its approval and/or for the amendment of the
Delegation.
8.1.6 No authority or power granted to the Committee or any other person in terms of

these Rules shall be exercised in a manner, whether directly or indirectly, which
may be to the benefit of any member of the Committee or member of the larger

Board in his/her capacity as such.

8.2 Duties of the Committee

The Committee, in addition to any other duty imposed by these Rules from time to
time, whether implied or express, shall report to the Board at least once during any
particular financial year, on any Measures taken.
