heodore is a writer who is incapable of perpetrating to a relationship. He is

in the midst of a separation with his wife, Catherine. Theodore gets himself

a new OS. Once he installs it, he chooses a girl’s voice. She calls herself

Samantha. "She" is always examining and discovering things about the universe and

human beings. Theodore enjoys her company. The two of them finds themselves in a

relationship. Theodore and Samantha's affection develops into verbal sexual contact.

Both begin a relationship that displays positively in Theodore's writing skills, and in

Samantha's passion for expanding and learning.

Meantime, Theodore grants to sign the divorce documents that he’s been putting

away for a long time since he perceives himself ready to move on. After both sign the

divorce, he tells Catherine about his relationship with Samantha. Catherine becomes

annoyed and leaves. Theodore starts questioning his relationship with Samantha.
