Oneida County Futurity Div. 1
FIRST CORONA MAGIC

First Corona Magic went wire-to-wire to win Division 1 of the $16,000 Oneida County Futurity at Oneida County Fair on Aug. 14.
Jockey Todd Thomas rode the two-year-old filly to victory. She broke on top from the 7-post, led by a head going into the stretch, and was in front by a neck as she crossed the finish line.
There was a 5 mph crosswind present as First Corona Magic finished the 300-yard out in :15.651 for an 89 speed index.
The $6,400 winner’s share of the $16,000 purse boosted her earnings to $8,463. This was her first career stakes win and it improved her record to 5-2- 0-0. Glen Jamison trains the three-year-old filly.
First Corona Magic previously went wire-to- wire in her trial to the Roche Equine Futurity, finishing fifth in those finals.
Hernandez home-bred First Corona Magic in Idaho. She is out of DDS Corona Prospect, a 2007 winning mare who has produced two winners from two starters. Her second dam, Royal Double Dash, has also produced two winners from two starters.
RLH Fouronthefloor (Jess Got Easier-SP Saint Patty) made a game run for second place under jockey Jesus Virgen for owner/breeder Robert Harrison and trainer Heath Hillman. He was coming off of a win in the Idaho Bred Mixed Futurity that was held at Pocatello Downs on June 24. Smokin Lil Wagon
(Lil Kool Wagon-Smokn Mirrors) was the biggest underdog in the field at 40-1 odds, but secured third place under jockey Jesus Flores for owners Glen and Jill Jamison and trainer Glen Jamison. The remaining order of finish was BP Hes The Moon (Moonin The Eagle-BP Shes Southern), Kiss A Lou Blue (Jess Louisiana Blue-Kiss A Kardashian), Mz Six (Rebs Miracle-Canucatcher Star), Cuyiosityd (Zoomin For Bux-Strawberry Fast Girl), and Hawks Interest (Seperate Interest-Hawk Three).

JACKIES FAMOUS GIRL

Jackies Famous Girl came flying to win Division 2 of the $16,000 Oneida Futurity at the Oneida County Fair on Aug. 14.
Ramiro Fregoso trains Jackies Famous Girl, who finished her 300-yard trip in :15.363, posting a 99 speed index while running through a 4 mph crosswind with jockey Oscar Villa aboard.
Coming off a third-place effort in the Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity at the Jerome County Fair, Jackies Famous Girl entered this race at 5-2 odds, the second-lowest in the field.
The filly broke on top from the 2-post, led by a head at the first call, then widened the gap slightly to win wire-to-wire by a neck.
Dorian Montero owns the two-year-old filly, who has two wins in six career starts. The $6,400 first-place share of the purse improved her total earnings to $11,566.
Bred by Christine Hudson, Jackies Famous Girl was foaled in Texas out of This Dash Is Flying, a winning 2008 mare. She has produced four winners out of five starters with earnings of $101,270.
Cassy Caring (Racy Casanova-R Favorite Lady) placed second for owner Movin On. Scott Warr is the trainer and Francisco Linan drew the riding assignment.
Nitro Got Me Zoomin (Zoomin Royal-Gone Babie Gone), the biggest longshot in the field at more than 28-1 odds, hit the board in third place. The colt is owned by Merlin Sharp, trained by Fredy Olmos, and had Daniel Carrillo in the irons.
The remaining order of finish was RLH Chocolate Chip (Jess Got Easier-Bankas Chocolate), CR Royalty Foose (Royaltys Choice-La Tonis Foose), My Caliente Corona (Corona Caliente-Give My Chic Bac), Streakin We (Panama Wes-Streakin Zestfully), and Big E (Big Lew-Miss Kissn Te).
White Pine Stakes
THE PRIZE FERARRI

The Prize Ferarri sprinted to a neck victory in the $17,800 White Pine Racing Stakes on Aug. 20 in Ely, Nevada.
Prepped by Mark Hanson for owners RTM Stables, Robin Dunn, Kevin Dunn, and Bryon Goody, The Prize Ferarri went 400 yards in :19.718 while aided by a reported 15-mph tail wind, a clocking which broke the previous track record for the distance of :19.749 set by Specials Gold on Aug. 21, 2016. Gonzalo Gutierrez rode the 4-year-old gelded son of The Louisiana Cartel.
Raced in four states, including Idaho, The Prize Ferarri has won 12 of 19 starts -- including four
of six at the 400-yard distance -- and the $9,790 winner’s share of this purse from his fourth career stakes victory bumped his bankroll to $121,444.
The gelding’s record includes a 2-length win as the fastest qualifier in last year’s $26,000 Bitterroot Derby, and a 1/2-length win in last year’s $44,000 Adequan Pocatello Derby Challenge.
The Prize Ferarri was bred by Weetona Stanley
of Madill, Oklahoma, and he was purchased by
Jim Hanson for $22,000 at the 2019 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. The brown gelding is out of lightly raced Ferarri Fast Prize, a homebred daughter of Champion Mr Jess Perry. She has produced 21 winners from 30 starters with progeny earnings of over $1.4 million. Ferarri Fast Prize has produced three stakes winners, including top earner Ferarri James, who won six stakes events, including the Keokuk Stakes-G3 three times, Two Rivers Stakes-G3, Altoona Derby and Iowa Double Gold Derby.
Cowboyhatbygucci (Apollitical Blood-Ms
Fast First Prize) finished second while pocketing $3,560 for Luciano Uriel Dominguez. A $15,000 buy at the 2020 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale, the sophomore gelding was ridden by Uriel Dominguez for trainer Calli Dominguez. The gelding was coming off of a second place finish in the Wyoming Downs Derby. He also finished second in last year’s Wyoming Downs Futurity. KR Runaway Foose (Foose-KR Montana Cartel) ran third, 3/4-length behind The Prize Ferarri. Joe Dominguez rode the 4-year-old stallion for owner Jess I. Meineke and trainer Joseph Sandoval. The colt was coming off of a two race win streak, winning the Great Falls State Fair Stakes.
TW Itsalrightnow (Im Alright Now-Kaweahs Blurr), Mz Corona (Merry For Corona-BW De Stuff), and Lightning Girl (TF Im That Guy- Firstqueen Cartel) completed the order of finish.
